Darn, was hoping it might fix your problem.
Sounds like for you, yours is crashing unexpectedly while in router mode.
I would ask you to make contact with your regional D-Link support office about this and let them know what your seeing. I have forwarded this on to my regional office here for review though not sure what they can do since your in the UK. I do have a bug report in on the 2202 while in AP mode. I was able to reproduce this last nite. Mine also seems to bring down my host router as well. However I presume there maybe differences between your configuration and mine. Router mode for mine works well. Just AP mode with the B Point ethernet connected crashes the system.

Be sure to give D-Link all the details, modem mfr and model, configuration of the modem to the A point and B point. Any switches and wired devices in use.
I guess in mean time downgrade back to what was working on the B point first then A point and go from there.
Hopefully D--Link can figure this out.
