DCS-920 email
« on: August 30, 2009, 08:10:38 PM »

I have not been able to automatically send email from my camera.
Any suggestions? I have opened port 25, but no luck.

You should not need to open port 25 as this is standard email port. What email server are you using and does it use port 25 or another port?

I normally use Explorer, but I set up Outlook express at the suggestion of the phone tech.
Outlook used port 25. I used all of the settings I typed into the D-link setup page and I could send email fine.
I have a Verizon, yahoo email account.

When I try a test email from the camera, the message header "Sending email" is displayed, but nothing arrives. Is there some way to track the output of the camera?

Who is the provider of your email server?
