I "think" this is the best subforum for this topic but we'll see. :shrug:

I'm using a DIR-685 with a WD Scorpio 500gig drive and am having trouble confirming if the drive is going into sleep mode after setting the timeout value on the storage page.

Googling turned up a couple of references to linux flavours that have this same problem and was wondering if it could be the same issue I've found with the DIR-685?

If so then can we expect a firmware update to resolve?
