Espresso Shaker Kitchen Cabinets Question

Hi everyone,

I'm considering installing new kitchen cabinets and am leaning towards espresso shaker kitchen cabinets, but I have a few questions. How do they hold up over time, especially in terms of scratches and fading?

Also, I’ve heard dark cabinets can make a space feel smaller—has anyone found this to be true with espresso shades? Lastly, what kind of countertops and backsplash would pair well with these cabinets for a modern, timeless look? Any insights or pictures from your own projects would be really helpful!
