I recently experienced water damage in my home due to a leaky pipe, and I'm considering hiring a water damage restoration service. Can anyone share their experiences with such services? Specifically, I’d like to know what to expect during the restoration process, how long it typically takes, and if it's worth it to hire professionals versus trying to handle it myself.

Also, are there specific certifications or qualifications I should look for in a restoration company? Any recommendations for reliable services in my area would be greatly appreciated.
