Media center crashes trying to play a video from my dns 323
« on: September 03, 2009, 08:32:35 PM »

Hi,

I'm not sure if anyone else has this problem but I can't seem to play any video (avi) from my dns 323 in media center, it just crashes. And it's happening on 2 computers, both are using nvidia graphics cards (8450 and 8800 with the latest drivers) on Windows 7 Pro. It plays fine within media player on both machines. I've tried removing all other video players (nero showtime, quicktime etc) just in case it was a codec issue, but I guess if it plays fine in media player that wouldn't be the case. I can also stream any video from computer to computer in media center no problems.

Any help would be appreciated.

I'm having a similar problem, but mine doesn't crash - WMP just gives me an error, saying they file is unplayable (it will play if located on my hdd however).

I have Vista 64 and WMP 11.
