USB Splitter for Printer Server and UPS
« on: September 05, 2009, 02:08:25 PM »

Firmware version 1.06 introduced "USB port supports UPS monitoring".

Has anyone tried using a USB splitter to connect both a printer and UPS?

And should a self powered splitter be used?

I'll be amazed if you can do this, but I'll be watching for replies, because I'd like to have a UPS connection, and I have a printer connected. :)

Try the search feature - it has been tried, and can't say how well it worked though.

Thanks.  I just did a search and found a stream <http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=3499.0>.

Seems it can work and a powered USB splitter is recommended.
