From reading the posts, it seems that Win 7 64-bit SHOULD work with SharePort. However, I cannot get it to work. I have a brand new PC with Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit installed and fully updated.
My LAN configuration is simple. PC wired into DIR-655 and a printer wired in too. Router connects to a cable modem.
SharePort tells me:
No device servers were found on the network.
Also, one other interesting aspect...
Before upgrading my DIR-655 firmware and installing the SharePort client, Windows 7 was able to create a network diagram of my network.
Since the Firmware update and restore of my router settings, and installed client, of course,
Windows 7 now gets an error trying to build the network map.
"An error happened during the mapping process."
Note however, that in trying to diagnose all this, i have tried a thyird party mapping tool that worked just fine, but did not see the attached USB drive.
