DAP-1522 Bridge "N" only
« on: September 15, 2009, 03:27:21 PM »

I use a DAP-1522 to provide a wireless bridge for several wired devices. I am using a DIR -655 as a router in mixed G & N mode. I have several wireless "G" devices (Tivo) to which I connect  requiring the mixed mode. My wireless "N" devices connect with no problem at 270-300 Mbps.
Is it true that the 1522 will only connect in "G" mode under these circumstances. Is there a way for it to connect as a bridge in "N" mode.  Thanks for any help or information.

Works fine...DAP-1522 (bridged) in N mode, DWA-552 in N node, all WLANed to my DIR-655, while I roam around with my G laptop.  I am still testing everything, but with all the game consoles connected to the DAP number one son can be on the XBOX live (with wireless controllers) VoIPed with his friends, son number two can WII-live, schookum's (a.k.a. "the wife") is doing her thing on the internet via the DWA, while I'm pulling my favorite streaming video program, I  consistently pull over 150M on the DAP (lot's of interference from the wireless game controllers), 250+ off the DWA, and always 54M from the laptop - well unless I'm sitting on the back porch sipping beer, then I get 24M through 5 walls...life's tough.

I keep seeing all these posts saying "it can be done", but so far nobody has said how they made it work and the documentation with the unit sucks butt.

Can anyone give us some help instead of, "sure it can be done...I"m sipping a beer while surfing"
