Well, I tried all of that just to get the 162mbs rather than the 108. Signal Strength is usually about 65-70% on both channels with link quality @ 100%. I have tried moving the adapter in various positions, and found that there is only a slightly marginal difference in strength (read 5%) depending on position, with the best position mounted to a wall about 5ft up. I have my DGL 4500 set to 5Ghz only, and have only one other 5Ghz network in range, and he isn't online very often. While I was testing this, I was the only network online. Oddly enough, sitting on my water bed, I've got an even better signal strength at 81% on both channels, and still I get 300/121. It seems like it's just not auto negotiating for a higher speed on the downlink.
