Looking at the third party firmware, the relevance for hackers to sabotage a video BIOS is virtually non-existent. A router, on the other hand is quit an interesting object. A hacked router firmware offers unlimited possibilities for phishing, spamming, zombieing etc. Just athought ofcourse.

EddiE,

On the german FTp site from Dlink there is the official downgrade firmware from Dlink. Look At ftp.dlink.de

Its not a hacked firmware but an released firmware from Dlink.

Thanks for that update. The Dlink FTP strategy for files and updates still puzzles me.
Is it EU only or can it be used for NA version also? Just asking for the interested peeps, my 1.34 works great  ;)

I had to reset 5 times the 655 before I was able to install 1.34NA firmware upgrade to my A3   regretfully the  router freezing still happens once or twice a day at least and a manual power disconnect is required.

The WAN slowdown has not been solved with this release nor has the small range in concrete houses even with 11.n only mode selected.
