Problem with VPN Tunnel using SecuRemote with the DIR-655
« on: September 21, 2009, 06:05:41 PM »

When trying to connect to a client's VPN with my laptop through my home office DIR-655 router with fixed IP assigned by the ISP using Check Point's SecuRemote I am able to authenticate successfully but the connection to the internal website/servers I try to connect to fails. I think I narrowed it down to a Tunnel problem, the Tunnel MTU Properties of SecuRemote show Status failed. The SecuRemote Tunnel MTU is set to 1350, the DIR-655 router is set to the default 1500. I played around a bit with the MTU on the router and the network cards to no avail.

If I connect my laptop directly to my Motorola SB5101 cable modem I got no problems at all so it must be something related to the router setup. Connections through my previous Linksys WRK54G routers did not have this problem either. Any help/suggestions are appreciated. TIA!
