I recently bought a Samsung UE46B7020 led TV with DLNA.
When I select DLNA on the TV the DNS-323 shows up as a DLNA media server.
But when I try to open it, not all of my moviefiles show up. Pictures and music files also won't show up at all. Is there perhaps an update for DLNA support in the new 1.08 firmware to address these problems? I als have an Xbox360 hooked up on my lan and this device can see all the files I share trough the upnp av server. I prefer to stream directly to my tv because it supports more file types than my xbox360.
Currently I run firmware 1.06 with two Western Digital WD5000AACS-00G8B hard drives in raid 1 mode.
Hopefully final 1.08 will come out soon... But still no word from dlink when it will roll out to customers.

DLNA is a subset of UPNP AV.  unless you have all the files in the right format name (ie avi, mpg etc) or
are set up to transcode you have to be in the formats that DLNA supports.
XBOX (and PS3 and more) support more formats.

I think the upnp av server isn't listing all files correctly. When I copy my complete media folder to an external hd and connect it to my TV, then I see all the files. When I try to access them from my DNS323,  not all files are on the list. I'll wait until 1.08 is offically released in order the see some improvements.

Again you may be hitting a limitation of DLNA... to get the certification they have to stick to stiff guidelines.  when you connect direct they can ignore DLNA since it is not needed.

FWIW, different revisions of the 323's firmware provide different UPnP functionality.  I can't remember back to 1.06 but I'm sure you can search the forums.  IIRC, there was very limited support in 1.06 for what the 323 would stream.  However in 1.08 the 323 serves up:

.m4a
.mp3
.mp4 (h.264 & .m4a audio)
.m2ts (h.264/h.263/h.262 & .mp3, .m4a, or .ac3 audio)
.avi (h.263/h.262 & .mp3 or .ac3 audio)
.mpg
.mpeg
.wmv
.wma
.iso

Don't ask me about iso, lol, I've never seen it work.  My PS3 seems to have no problems playing the remaining formats.  The PS3 is a DLNA-certified device as well.

I bought a DSM-520 off of eBay on the cheap to stream to the TV due to the lack of PS3 at my house. Works great.
