Shareport preventing clean shutdown
« on: October 08, 2009, 11:50:27 AM »

Hi,

Firmware 1.32NA and Shareport 1.1

Many times when I shut down Windows (I have XP), it gives me the Shareport utility "End Now..." message.  Any solution on that ?

It's waiting for the SharePort utility to exit.  I'm guessing SharePort has to disconnect from the drive/printer before it can exit.  Once SharePort finishes the screen goes away and the shutdown finishes normally for me.

The window will show up if Shareport utility is busy disconnecting devices when Shutdown occurs. Devices are disconnected automatically on shutdown.

Windows shows that message whenever a program is busy on Shutdown, so there isn't anything that can be done other than exiting the utility without disconnecting devices, which would prevent anyone
from reconnecting for a while.
