faster than what ???

You should tell us a little bit more.

What is your advertised internet speed and what do you really get ?
What kind of machine is connected ?
Which OS.

The more you tell us the better we can help.

It all depends. If your internet speed is faster than your wireless connected rate, than yes because wireless is always suseptable to errors and retransmissions. Using it on a wired connection eliminates this problem, as well, if your computer has a Gigabit ethernet port and your taking advantage of that, then you will see better and more reliable speeds. It's doubtful that your internet speed is faster than your wireless link, so really, the short answer is no.

There's not much to tweak (some other router brands can be overclocked, but not this one) except for channel selection, antenna position and general router position in the home environment.
