Poor print speeds on wireless
« on: October 11, 2009, 03:19:23 PM »

I get very poor print speeds of PDF's or pictures on wireless.  Text or test pages print ok.  If I connect directly to the print server over ethernet, the print speed is very good for all files.  The connection from my computer to my router is wireless N.  The connection from the router to the printer server is wireless G.  I should be seeing at least a 30mbps throughput to the print server over wireless, so my print speeds should be roughly 3 times longer than over over ethernet (100mbps).  However when I do get it to print a large document over wireless it can take 30 minutes or more vs 2-3 minutes over ethernet.  Quite often the print jobs for large documents fail over wireless.  I am running the latest firmware.
