My macbook is having problems connecting to my router. I'm running leopard 10.5.8.  Basically I boot up the computer, and airpot goes automatically to the static IP address, and then after some arbitrary amount of time (1 minute-5minutes) it picks up my home network.  My two windows based PCs do not have this problem, they connect to the home network instantly. I've rebooted and reset and reinstalled the router numerous times, as well as contacted Mac tech support, for which they recommended I reboot and reset the router.  This is getting quite annoying.  Any help would be appreciated.
