Status on LAN ports and 1 GB
« on: October 27, 2009, 02:44:30 PM »

Hi

I have a DIR-655 with latest firmware.
I have a pc connected to the LAN port and it is running 1GB
Then I have connected a 3Com 1GB office switch with autosence ect.
The 3Com switch shows a green light for the port where there is a pc connected, indicating that that port is running 1 GB. But when I connect the switch to my DIR-655 the light for that port is yellow indicating 100Mbit/F. I guess that the router and switch is auto negoatiating for that speed and there is no management interface for the switch.
1. I can't seem to find anything i the webinterface for my DIR-655 where I can se the LAN speed status ?
2. What can I do to get 1GB between my DIR-655 and 3Com router? (25 meters between and right now Cat5 cable)

Regards

Try Cat-5e cable (or Cat-6).  Cat-5 is rated for 100mbps
