NAS / Windows 7 / network / Homegroup?
« on: October 31, 2009, 11:58:53 AM »

Hi.  I have the Dlink DNS-323.  Had it setup on my homenetwork using a Dlink Router and 2 laptops on a workgroup - was running Vista Home Premium on both computers (1 was 32 bit & 1 was 64).  Everything worked nicely.

Upgraded both computers to Windows 7 home premium (again 1 32 and 1 64) which has a new feature called Homegroup.  We have created on and it's working but the NAS is not there.  It is however still under the regular Network area as we are both still in the original workgroup we were in.

Is there a way to put the NAS in the Homegroup?  I thought I'd be able to get rid of the workgroup but if I can't put the NAS in the homegroup then I'll have to leave it alone.
