Having a situation with my D-Link DIR-615. It seems that the wireless connection likes to go out every other day. The wired connection stays constant.
After approximately 24 hrs. I loose the ability to connect via wireless with both a Laptop and a Wii requiring me to take some action with the DIR-615. All devices can see my wireless network and shows that the signal strength is excellent. However, when I go to connect, I am unable to obtain an IP address and end up getting limited or no connectivity. I have no cordless phones, no baby monitors and have already set the channel to 11, so it seems unlikely that it is wireless interference. The really odd part is it doesn't seem to matter what action I take with the router as long as I take some action, I can reset it by unplugging/plugging it back in, I can set it to visible and then back to invisible and hit save, click DHCP release or restore back to factory settings. As long as I perform some action, I can connect wirelessly on the next attempt with all devices. But unfortunately this is a temporary solution as I have to go through the process again within a day.
Like I said, the wired connection is fantastic, it's only the wireless, however I am still able to see the network just not acquire an IP until I take some action. It doesn't appear to be wireless interference and I am running firmware version 3.00.
I haven't made too many settings changes as of yet besides changing the channel to 11, setting up WPA encryption, and chaging the SSID. Besides that, no other changes. This occurs on multiple devices on multiple platforms.
Please help as this is crazy annoying!!!
Thanks in advance.
