Same issue here on a personal system I just rebuilt, with the DWA 542 card - looks like all of the Wireless-N desktop cards have major issues with Vista drivers crashing the system, I was checking here to see if the 552 was more stable =(

If you looked at my posts the cards work perfect under WinXP

Thats why I said give me a driver that works
