How to use shareport with another ip subnet?
« on: December 10, 2009, 03:08:54 PM »

I have D-Link dir-855 in bridge mode upnp, dhcp like that @ disabled so my linux firewall on port 1 handles dhcp etc (yes at port 1... becouse i use dir-855 only as wireless access point) so i have configured one nic on my firewall to use ip range 192.168.1.1/24 to d-link dir-855 and 192.168.0.1/24 to wired network... what kind of nat ports i must open to get shareport to work from 192.168.0.1 subnet? it is possible to get shareport to work from another subnet...

like dir-855 has ip 192.168.1.2 and client has 192.168.0.100 so it is possible to make it work?  ???

Yes, look under Options-Search for devices and enter the broadcast address of the subnet

Try this:

1. click on Options (the wrench icon)
2. Go to the "Search for Device Servers" tab
3. Type 192.168.0.255

I hope the 1,2,3 numbering helps  ;)
