Windows 7 User - Help!
« on: December 16, 2009, 05:38:54 PM »

First, let me start off by saying, I'm not a huge technical sayings person, so please walk me through everything. Step by step.

I just got a new laptop (Dell Studio 1555) with Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit. However every time I try to connect to our secure router, I'm having a "can't connect" message. I've tried troubleshooting, and that does not work. I have a Dell 1397 WLAN Mini card. The connection is WPA2 secured. I've read things about possibly changing settings manually but honestly, I'm really not sure how to do a lot. Please help!

Turned out my dad did not have the latest firmware on our router. Now that he has updated this, it works. Thanks goodness!!
