Facebook login with Securespot

I'm having a problem accessing facebook with parental controls enabled.  After logging in, IE8 responds with "internet explorer cannot display the webpage".  I have tried firefox as well with no success.  Custom categories is selected with every category unchecked.  I have added facebook.com and the https url to the custom allow list.  If parental controls are disabled, it works fine.  I need to use parental controls to block my daughters access to a couple of websites.

Any solution or suggestions?

Hi MartyS,

Make sure the problem exists with SecureSpot, by turning off SecureSpot and tried access again. If you still can't access Facebook, the problem is not SecureSpot, but something else.

I turned the parental control off for that computer, and everything worked perfectly, so I know it is related to securespot.

Are you subscribing to SecureSpot? Do you have Anti-Virus Software Package installed on the computer in question?

I'm on the 30 day trial subscription, the one without the anti-virus software.

Hi MartyS,

Are you aware, you can use Access Control to control what can be access and what can't be access without SecureSpot?

There is also a Website Filter for use, also.

I'm aware, but unfortunately it seems that website filtering does not work with f/w 1.32NA.  If there was a fix, access control would do exactly what I need.

I had a computer that the same thing happened.  Try deleting the computer from the network map in SecureSpot and re-add that computer.
