I have a DGS-2205 switch and a EBR-2310 router.  I want to use the router as a switch, but can't figure out how to do it. 

I have my ethernet connection coming from another router downstairs.  I take that connection and put it in the "internet" port of the router.  The other 4 ports in the router do nothing, no connection!  If I take that cable from downstairs and put it in one of the four ports, not using the "internet" port on the router, things work fine. 

My problem is I need to be able to use the "internet" port on the router as another port for the ethernet connection.

Is this possible?
