Thank You Very Much.

Ok, I think I may have fixed the problem. Currently I am using version A4 with firmware 1.21na.
I used the recovery feature to put everything back to factory setting and removing anything
that was installed on my wife's laptop. It was a bit overkill but we found out what may be wrong.
After I had her pc back up and running I noticed that there was a driver update for the wireless
network adapter. So I didn't update it. I did numerous speed tests all were consistent. So I reinstalled
my wife's mmorpg and had her give it a good go to see how the connection was. One thing I noticed was that the signal strength stayed at 100% where before it would always change. Second I noticed that even while playing here game online she still had the consistent high internet speeds which was great since before it would go as low as 5mbps. We are supposed to get 15mbps but now it stays between 20 and 25mbps. Excellent. Third thing I noticed was that the packet loss was very low. From what I have discovered on the internet anything below 1% packet loss is great. Now our packet loss is less than .1% for received and less than .01% for sent. Happy with how things are going so far. *knocks on wood, crosses fingers* I went into my device management and downgraded the driver for the wireless network adapter for my laptop as well. Just like my wife's laptop mine is connecting much better to the internet.
My laptop is a Gateway NV53 with Windows 7. The wireless adapter is an Atheros AR5B93.
We are currently using driver version 8.0.0.225 and it works great. :

Thank You to everyone for their help and hopefully I won't need anymore. xD
