can someone post the specs of the router, or capture the firmware and post it on internet, i will try to load it on my old Dir-655 A2 router which i dont use annymore because i have now a dir-855.

Still no one give me the 2.00 firmware. I still wanna try to upload the fw 2.00 to my dirr 655 a2 router, Who is willing to give me this firmware.

Seems that file is 6,5 Mb big and if you read inside the file you can read: IP7160_DIR855_F_Board

Totaly new design or DIR855 redesign board.

Interesting.

Either they have a surplus of 855 boards which they cannot sell since that model just doesn't do that well or this might be a pre-version of the new 655?

Curious if the 655-with-855 board also does dual band when loaded with the right firmware...

Just returned from Fry's and Best Buy to see what version they had on the shelves.

Both stores had hardware version B1 with firmware 2.0 so this must be the new retail version of the DIR 655.

I don't think any hardware version before B1 is going to be receiving any new firmware.  :-\
