Hi
I have been trying to setup my DIR-655 A4 (Firmware 1.34NA) router to send me email notifications on new firmwares, when the log is full and every Saturday.
So I have a schedule already created for sending the emails on Saturday and I also have the option to send notification of new firmware checked. Now I have settings, similar to the following, under email settings (between {>> and <<}):
{>>
Enable Email Notification: (CHECKED)
From Email Address: example@ymail.com (A VALID EMAIL ACCOUNT)
To Email Address: *****@yahoo.com (A VALID EMAIL ACCOUNT)
SMTP Server Address: smtp.mail.yahoo.com
SMTP Server Port: 465
Enable Authentication: (CHECKED)
Account Name: example@ymail.com (A VALID EMAIL ACCOUNT, SAME AS "From Email Address")
Password: **************
Verify Password: **************
On Log Full: (CHECKED)
On Schedule: (CHECKED)
Schedule: ScheduleName
Details: Sat All Day
<<}
With those settings in place, I went to the Status tab, opened the LOGS tab and sent the email immediately from there. A message box pops up saying it will send the log to the "To Email Address" in the email settings above. I went to my Outlook 2010 email client, which is setup and works with both email accounts used in the email settings above, waited for 2-3 minutes but never received any email. I went back to the router's settings page in my browser (Chrome), opened the log, and noticed these messages about the emailing process:
[INFO] Mon Dec 20 03:31:42 2010 Failure sending log email - try again in 2 minutes
[WARN] Mon Dec 20 03:31:42 2010 SMTP client failed to send email
[INFO] Mon Dec 20 03:31:22 2010 SMTP (Email) server smtp.mail.yahoo.com is at IP address 98.136.185.95
[INFO] Mon Dec 20 03:37:58 2010 Sending log email after administrator request
Why is this happening

Is there something wrong with my setup

Is the email settings affected by any other settings besides the schedule

I really want to take advantage of what I have paid for, please reply with a professional
