Some things to try:
Turn off Advanced DNS Services if you have this option under Setup/Internet/Manual.

Turn on DNS Relay under Setup/Networking.

Setup DHCP reserved IP addresses for all devices ON the router. Setup/Networking
Ensure devices are set to auto obtain an IP address.

All devices has got their DHCP reservations
Set Firewall settings to Endpoint Independent for TCP and UDP under Advanced/Firewall.

What security mode are you using? Preferred security is WPA-Personal. WPA2/AES Only. Some WiFi adapters don't support AES, so you might want to try TPIK only or Auto.

What wireless devices do you have connected?
Only laptops
Any cordless house phones?
Any other WiFi routers in the area? Use InSSIDer to find out. How many?
Turn off WISH, and WPS under Advanced.
Try turning off Short GI, WLAN Partition,and Extra Wireless Protection if you have it. Under Advanced/Advanced Wireless.
No cordless phones. Only VOIP - SNOM (very reliable brand) phones connected by LAN canle.
Lots of WIFI routers in there (at this time 28 other WIFI routers some WPA prottected some WEP. No collisions. Checked on BackTrack.

We never met such problems before using netgear routers. This problem occurs only on wireless and only on DIR-655.
Thank you very kindly for your help. I will try to manage all things tomorrow morning and will let you know asap.
By the way: we have fiber optic on PPPoE but this doesn't change anything because on LAN cable connections net is working excellent. Only WIFI has problems.
