My device does not startup
« on: March 03, 2013, 06:47:56 AM »

Hello everybody,

I have the 320L running for a month. A couple of times (before and after the firmware update [v1.01b03]) the device fails on boot.

When I press the power button, I see the led blinking fast, but I do not hear the hard disk booting and the device is not accessible from the network. In other cases and after several attempts, I disconnect it from the power and holding the power button it booted. But in this time it's always the blinking LED and won't start up.

What can i do?

Thanks in advance!

While the DNS-320L is powered-up, try pressing and holding the power button for > 8 seconds. This will perform a factory reset, but should not impact HDD configuration or stored data.

maybe a chain of powersurges or miniblackouts, if you set the "power recovery" to enable the nas would do multiple reboots without completing them and this could do bad things.
an ups can help.

Think I have it figured, it is down to the times I had set, turn off at 01:30, turn on at 09:00, changing that to turn off at 23:59 solves this, I think it gets muddled by turning off before it has started.

Hi all,

After upgrade the firmware of my 320L to DLINK_DNS320L.1.01b03, it has the same problem:

"When I press the power button, I see the led blinking fast, but I do not hear the hard disk booting and the device is not accessible from the network"

And "pressing and holding the power button for > 8 seconds" doesn't work.

How can i restore/recover the firmware?

Thanks.

Bugs in v1.01b03:
- Auto fan speed donīt set properly, if stopped wonīt wake up to Low or High, freezing the device with high temperature. Changed settings to Auto (low-high);
- Local Backup donīt work (file and folder). Launches error without msg;
- Sometimes 320L become "freezed" and power led blinks while managing disks (local backup, formatting, ...). Need wait a long period to power on again;
- P2P still not working like in v1.0 (Shipping version).

lcnviana77 "great" news  :'( But this error also happened to me with version 1.0

What can we do? wait for the next firmaware version? it will fix the error? I think it's a big mistake, I'm scared to reset the device and not be able to startup it again.

Thanks!

I bought it on January 4, I think it's still under warranty. How long can take the device to be back?
