Minecraft Server
« on: March 24, 2013, 02:26:07 PM »

I configured my DIR-655 to forward the port 25565 to
192.168.0.112 and when I go to canyouseeme.org
it says it cant connect. If it helps I just switched to Comcast
Cable (XFinity). It says its forwarded on my router but the
website says otherwise...

Did you install and open the Minecraft server .exe before running the test? Also, go into the server.properties and make sure the server port is set to 25565. Last, what is the model number of your modem?

For more info check out this page.

First step is to find out the model number of your modem/device. Need to see if there is a firewall or NAT in it. Should be printed somewhere on it. Also..did you read my post?

I was asking for the model number, not sure why your not seeing it. But basically Im trying to figure out if the modem has a router in it. Easiest way to check that is go direct to the modem and see if the server works. But try that other stuff I mentioned too.

Please post your picture file at picture viewing web sites like photobucket or imageshack. Then you can copy and paste the IMG url into the forums here and they will be viewable instead of having to download files.

Thank you.

There we go. Kind big however this works, I see the Ubee Part Number:
I think this ins your modem: http://www.ubeeinteractive.com/products/cable/ddm3513

Looks to be a modem only model. This is good and tells us the 655 is the one handling DHCP and NAT. Helps us help you troubleshoot.

Did you try my first suggestions? Seen the 2nd post.  Basically any port scan will give a negative result if the Minecraft server isn't up and going.

Second, make sure there is a DHCP reservation for 192.168.0.112. Then try to connect to the server using 192.168.0.112 from another computer on the network. That will rule out any computer issues. Reply with the results.
