Give the stats info time to populate.

Has using the hostname worked before to log into the web page? I normally use the IP address.

Glad WiFi is working better for you. Keep us posted.

I'm going to recommend that you get into a business class router for your environment. This router is meant for a home and small business and limited in it's capacity to operate in a business environment with that many connected clients. I recommend that you review the DSR series of routers: http://www.dlink.com/us/en/search?q=dsr

You may only need the router only unit with out wireless. If you need wireless, just add on a DAP model wireless AP later on if needed. Suggestions

Also phone contact D-Link sales and support and inquired with them to see what is best suited for your networkings needs. Talk to them about your environment.

Are you able to return the DGL-5500 to place of purchase?

Hi FurryNutz, Thank you for your suggestions, but I was not able to return my purchase because the return costs were too high.

Currently, I am using DGL-5500 router as a home router. I have done a factory reset and setup the router from scratch.

However, With the Media Server off or on, the router still has the "blank page" bug on My Network and Statistic page. Another bug is it is not able to reboot using the router website after 5 to 10 days on running with about 15 devices connected to it.

Therefore, I believe the problem is not the environment that we are using, but more than firmware's bugs. Those bugs just happen sooner or later depend on days of running or maybe number of clients. I am not so sure.

Besides, I also gave my friends the second router and after 12 days of running, he experienced the same problems as mine and that need to reboot manually by cutting off power.

Well the only think I recommend is return the DGL to the place of purchase. Since your not in the supported region for this router, I don't think D-Link will support it. You can call and ask.
http://forums.dlink.com/index.php?topic=55110.0

I believe this is probably a environment and or regional issue that is not supported by D-Link.

I recommend that you get into a DIR series router that is fully supported in the Singapore region. Is there a DIR 868L series listed on the Singapore D-Link web page? This is a great router.

I wish it had been as good when the 4500 launched...Kind of disappointing. The 5500 is maturing. I'd keep the 4500 going if it's working well for you. You can always add on a AC router in AP mode for AC wireless if needed.

I'm just about done with both D-link and this 5500. Trying to download the beta from October since we never got a newer version, yet I consistently get a "cannot open this page" error from Chrome.

Can anyone please verify that this link works?:

ftp://ftp2.dlink.com/PRODUCTS/DGL-5500/REVA/DGL-5500_REVA_FIRMWARE_1.11B03.ZIP

Again, this is linking to the October beta.

Link is working.

Web Browser Configurations
What browser are you using?
Try Opera or FF? If IE 8, 9, 10 or 11, set compatibility mode and test again.
Disable any security browser Add-ons like No Script and Ad-Block or configure them to allow All Pages when connected to the router.
Clear all browser caches.
Try turning off these features in Chrome:
Top right corner, little bars for options > Settings > Settings (on left) > Show advanced settings.
Uncheck these:
Use a web service to help resolve navigation errors
Use a prediction service to help complete searches and URLs typed in the address bar
Predict network actions to improve page load performance
Enable phishing and malware protection

You can also directly downloaded from the main U.S. site.

Link is working.

Thanks, Furry. AdBlock seemed to have been the problem. Paused it and the page resolved.

New FW is on the horizon...
You said the same thing last time, the FW never came. (I see the last post about new FW on its way was deleted) I'm getting tired of this bug ridden router, it's nice when it works, but I'm not enjoying the constant drops on the 5GHz band.

1. FW did arrive. New FW is on the horizon.
2. I don't have specific time frames when FW is released nor am I required to post anything about it. The information I do get and can post about it s courtesy to everyone on the forums and not guaranteed when it wil be made available.
3. If your having problems with your router, why not post a new thread about it and let us help you figure out what is going on. I've had mine on line for a while and have not experienced any issued with the 5Ghz radio. Even with a DIR-868L bridge connected to it. There could be something else going on thats causing the 5Ghz to not work well you or your client device(s) need to be reviewed. In most cases FW update don't do much of anything in these cases. Rather come configuration and review and trouble shooting needs to be done to narrow down where the problem is.

Please post a new thread in the forums and let see if we can figure this out.
