Don't know...i presume maybe the front bumper buttons? They should have specified.  ::)

Any try this to change NAT status?

Pressing both triggers + both buttons on the controller in the Multiplayer Troubleshooter to refresh the NAT type of the console.

Yes. I did that last night and it did not change my NAT. However, I have seen it refresh my NAT and it went from open to strict. I've had a friend say he uses it to get his from strict to open.

Just out of curiosity what 2 buttons?  The former 'back' and 'start' buttons?

It is both triggers and both bumpers. After running the multiplayer test in the "You're good to go" or whatever it says screen, you hold all four buttons (triggers and bumpers) and it shows a screen similar to the network detail screen and refreshes the NAT status.

Is "Instant On" disabled on your XB1?

LOL. No. Not yet. I am going to see how it goes and try the suggestions in this thread first: http://forums.xbox.com/xbox_forums/xbox_support/xbox_one_support/f/4267/t/1634443.aspx?PageIndex=2. I just saw that post and, on the second page, it links to the xbox support page that walks through resetting your NAT table by disabling UpNp, rebooting everything, and then turning it back on and rebooting again. Ironically, I have the 5500 because I tried a similar procedure to reset the routing table on my 4300 and it stopped routing. I am sure that won't happen again though :D

Let us know how it goes.

I posted that information the XBL stickies in the FAQ Library.

Thanks. You may want to change that to say: press both triggers + both bumpers at the end of that FAQ.

I'd like to add that I can confirm that "Open Nat" can be achieved by just UPNP and "Energy-Saving" on the Xbox One.  Keep in mind that the router MUST be rebooted after switching the Xbox One power settings or you will still get a Strict Nat type even with the triggers/bumpers method.  I haven't seen any wireless problem that I know of (running WPA2 AES on the 5Ghz).  However, every 3 days all devices disappear under "My Network" and I have to reboot the router to fix it.  Haven't been able to find a solution yet.

Is "Instant On" disabled on your XB1?

I logged into the XB1 and had an open NAT last night, with Instant On enabled, no need for any reboots or clearing of routing tables. So, right now I am running on the 5500 without reserving an IP for the Xbox One and no ports forwarded for it, either. Using Instant On, I still have an open NAT. I'll report back if that changes.

What is "instant on?"

It is a setting on the Xbox One that let's it go into sleep mode and resume very quickly. 10-15 seconds instead of almost a minute to boot up. It also allows it to download software updates as soon as they are available, even if you are not using it. Oh, and to turn on when you say: "Xbox On."

BTW, furry, I just checked the One again tonight and my NAT is still open using instant on and default settings on the 5500.

Kewl, wonder if your lucky. Has there been any Xbox updates lately?

No. I'll post if I run into the issue again. It may have been that I knee jerk reacted to some of my friends having strict NATs and forwarded all the ports to avoid the issue on my side and the Xbox One and 5500 work better together with straight UpNp and no port forwarding.
