Ya I know.  ::)

Give the manual sync, TZ and +30 offset a try. Seems to be working for me.
Will do. Over night mine has lost a few minutes. It would also seem to me that the time wouldn't wander, but that the clock feature would hold the gap, not increase it. You had no luck with NPT at all?

Ya NTP was ok however an hour off if I used the correct TZ. If I moved the TZ to central time, it corrected the hour being off.  ::)

No go, this time it does exactly as told and adds 30 minutes to the time. Went back to sync and save with no DST or NPT. Its still not right but close (a minute or two now, will keep an eye on it).
If you have any in to the company maybe a word can get it corrected in next firmware.  It would be interesting to do a poll and see how many users are affected.
I can't say for certain but I think everything was good with my unit with 2.03, and with the flash a few days ago the error was introduced, but I may be wrong.  I usually keep a pretty good eye on these things though so everything is on the same time while I'm away.

Ya I passed this along to my contact at D-Link. I saw he looked at it. Nothing said about it.

I just looked at mine from work, time is correct and holding true using manual and offset....

Could be his clock is wrong and he thinks it's quitting time.....
I went back to sync and save. What I worry about is that I'll be traveling and a power outage will cause the clock to grab a severely incorrect time and I'll get problems with security camera/router. Router is on UPS, as is modem, but.....
Also, the time in the Charter Arris modem is right on the minute.  Maybe Dlink can call them and find the fix.

Ya that the only thing. If the power fails it will revert back to the last manual sync. I recommend that you have the remote access for the router enabled do you can configure it remotely if needed.

What model Arris modem do you have?
FYI: Arris Cable Modems and External Routers

I do have remote access enabled but worried that something with the time could prevent accessing it. Maybe not.
The new docsis 3 they replaced the old docsis 2 with is the TM822G. I complained that I wasn't getting the 30mbps that they had just bumped us all to, the new modem fixed that. Sounds like another bump to 60 mbps coming later this year.

Remote access on the router isn't dependent upon correct Time. Just make sure it's enabled.

Does this modem have a built in router or is it stand alone Modem?

After reading the link you enclosed I did some research and it's just a modem. Odd though that one option for it is a recharging internal battery.  Charter didn't include that, but a good idea I'd think.  Doesn't matter on mine as it and the router are on UPS so we can at least go online with tablets (to see if we lost power because we're at war and/or to order pizza).

Checking the time today and still just about 1 1/2 minutes behind, about the time it takes to sync and reboot I'm guessing.
If it doesn't wander further off I can live with this.
