Thanks FurryNutz. With regards to the Windows 10 updates, since windows 10 forces you to update automatically you can't hide updates like you could normally do before. I did manage to do a little digging and found that they made this now into a seperate tool, see links below :

So I have first uninstalled the kb, restarted, then ran the hide update tool to pick up on the missing update and flagged it to hide. I just tried this out now - so far so good. I'll let you guys know if this does not work. But I am hoping the real issue gets looked at by dlink and has some sort of patch release on the new shareport utility version.
