Yes, I know this router is old. Well, so am I..

Our Belkin F7D7301 v1 is on death's doorstep, and my wife needs it for work, and my son "needs" it for his games. I went to Newegg and found the least expensive router with 802.11n and gigabit Ethernet, that could be configured as an access point. (We live in uber-rural Michigan and our "high"-speed Inet uses an antenna that's aimed at a tower a mile away. They don't say much, but as best as I can figure, it's just a WiFi router that's aimed at their system. They had to "de-configure" the Belkin (which I'd hand-rigged to work with the dialup connection we endured until this outfit showed up).
I know there are beaucoup faster routers available, but this one is already faster than our provider can provide (and is apt to ever provide). So, old or not, it's more than we need, and as my Social Security doesn't provide much "fun" money, corners get cut whenever possible. C'est la merde...
OK, enough small talk.
I downloaded everything I could find for this router, including a firmware update which it may or may not need to have applied. But, I searched the ****ens out of the site and could NOT find that $%$@#% installation disc.
I know I can manually set up the router, but I'd rather have the installer do the first pass (I'll need to go back anyway to switch it into access point mode) -- but, I'd much prefer to be able to just type in "dlinkrouter" instead of the IP address. (I guess I'm spoiled -- with the Belkin I just type "router" and there I go.) I assume that I'll need the install CD to set that up, unless I want to go spelunking in the HOSTS file. I don't.)
Any ideas?
