Just jumped on the forum for this exact problem. I am running the new Motorola SB6120 DOCSIS 3.0 modem on Comcast in the Bay Area. I have the Rev. A1 DIR-825 modem and still have daily dropouts. I know the problem is router specific as I previously had a Linksys DOCSIS 2.0 modem hooked up. So upgrading the modem does not make a difference (although, when it does work, I will say the SB6120 is about 20% faster). I've been a very devoted D-Link user (3rd D-Link router, 3 switches, 4 or 5 wireless adapters), but this will be the straw that breaks the camel's back. I'm going to update to the 1.13NA firmware released on 1/28/2010 and see if that solves the problem. I'll also change the WAN setting (although my modem does have a gigabit connection). If that doesn't work, I'll try the Netgear 3700.
