Plz develop a VPN solution for those of us who are stationed overseas.  It would be wonderful to use your XBOX 360/PS 3 without getting "we are sorry but your IP...."

DFE-530TX+ Install in Windows 7
« Reply #32 on: June 11, 2010, 05:26:46 AM »

There is no forum topic for this so...

Network Adapter: DFE-530TX+  Rev. E1
OS: Windows 7 (Card works flawlessly in Windows XP)

I have tried everything that I could find on the web to get this card to work:
  * Downloaded the 2/10/2010 D-Link driver for Windows 7 32-bit
     - I installed the above driver, shutdown and installed card
~ Windows 7 insisted on using its own 2008 driver
     - Tried to update the driver through the device mgr by manually browsing to the driver location
~ Causes windows to state that there is not a valid driver located there
     - Suppressed the automatic installation of devices through gpedit.msc/computer configuration/admin templates/system/device installation/device installation restrictions
     - Replaced the card with another network adapter which worked perfectly
~ There is not a problem with my cable modem

Can anyone give me any advice on getting this card working in Windows 7?
Thanks.

How about a SharePort driver for Linux (Ubuntu)?

In general, better support for the Linux platform.

Verizon is in the process of converting their network over to IPv6, but it's going to take awhile before they are going to be able to provide full IPv6 service for all areas.

If you do a search on Verizon's website for IPv6, you will find documents outlining the current schedule.

Since DIR-685 is true DLNA compatible, why not develop a Internet Radio module for access radio streaming services from internet, or at least a vTuner? It is the only thing missing in this great router beside a resource to do HTTP downloads.

Thanks.

Looking for a dual-band router so you can run two independent Wi-Fi networks, using one frequency band for data and the second for streaming media? Scratch the DGL-4500 off your list, because D-Link’s definition of “dual-band” means operating on either the 2.4GHz band or the 5.0GHz band—not both at the same time.
