well here we go... I just purchased the dwa-552 a few weeks ago, and couldn't for the life of me figure out why my audio all of a sudden started cutting out on me all the time. Then... viola, I stumbled upon this forum.
I am currently running: Windows XP Media Center Edition SP2 on an HP a1350n with an AMD Athlon 64x2 Dual core processor 4200+ 2.19Ghz / 4 gigs of ram.
I have downloaded the most up to date driver that i could find on the website. I even tried calling tech support... I shouldn't have wasted my time. I am using DPC LatencyChecker 1.2.0 and every 60 seconds, like clockwork, i get huge spikes up to about 6000. This DPC spike is causing my audio to distort and cut out. Other than that, this adapter works great, good connectivity and great speed. This problem however is very annoying. Looking back through this forum, I saw a few peeps working on a fix for it... any word on this? Tech support said that they were aware of this issue, and were working on it. The tech rep insisted that I try installing the adapter in another computer to see if it has the same effect. She then instructed me that if I did, that I just return the adapter to the store I purchased it at. You would think that if you pay upwards of 80 bux for something that it should work. Wishful thinking I guess.
Alright, I'm done ranting...So yeah, has anyone had any luck with this problem
