Any word on an updated firmware from D-Link regarding Xbox One?  I know they had similar problems with other devices.

Apparently MS has tested the XB1 with the 5500 and 868L and both came back with OPEN NAT using defaults settings to a ISP modem (NO NAT modem) over a wired connection.  There checking on the wireless connection as well. They did mention that they reviewed this thread and mentioned that we cover some of what they test. Then they give info that I posted here:
New - Xbox One Console Setup/Troubleshooting Information

If you still have the Arris modem, I would recommend checking out a Motorola SB 6 series modem and test if you can...seen odd behavior with Arris modems and D-Link routers...

187 is reporting that Instant On feature on the XB1 is working for him and he's getting OPEN NAT...

I'm curious if it's only people with multiple Xbox One's that can't get a solid OPEN NAT with "Instant-On" and the DGL-5500?  For sure it does not stay as OPEN for me with my two Xbox Ones but I've never tried only 1.  This is with a Motorola Surfboard Docsis 3.0 modem (don't remember exact model number) and DGL-5500.  I like leaving it as energy-saving any ways saves power!

Possible, I couldn't get NAT OPEN on my friends single XB1 using 2 DIR-868Ls with Instant ON.  :-\ MS i presume that there testing was with a single XB1.  I don't know the specifics though.

Edit: After thinking about it, I wonder if the NAT setting is a "live" reading, there could be a possibility of it staying set and not reporting true open NAT.

I might have my friend re-enable Instant On and see how it goes. I wonder if there has been any changes to the XBL services that could effect anything.

If there is it was on the server side as there have been no console updates yet.

I presume so as we don't see any issues with 360s.  :-\

I have 2 Xbones with instant on and open NAT.

Xbox One - Day One Edition directly wired to DGL-5500 - OPEN NAT with 'INSTANT ON'
Xbox 360 directly wired to DGL-500 - OPEN NAT

Xbox 360 directly wired to DIR-868L (used as an AP) - OPEN NAT (DIR-868L wired to HP Network Switch - HP Network Switch wired to HP Network Switch - HP Network Switch wired to DGL-5500)

After Santa arrives with the second Xbox One - Day One Edition, it will be directly wired to the DIR-868L (used as an AP).  Once I get it set up, I will check to see if I get OPEN NAT with 'INSTANT ON'.

Thanks for sharing BS, I'm wondering if this also could be an isolated issue as well. Keep us posted on 2nd XB1 install.

Only one Xbox One in my household, but 2 360s. No NAT issues in the last week with daily gaming and instant on with default settings on the 5500. I'll post if that changes.
